Recently, the Board of Directors of BIP voted to add a Membership structure to the organization of the Institute. This move was in response to our growing need for better connection, communication, and sharing among all the people, past and present, who have been involved with BIP, or have a great interest in the Institute’s activities. Anyone age 18 and over is welcome to join BIP as a Member.

Members of the Boston Institute for Psychotherapy are part of a global community of people who support the BIP mission to continue as an organization providing clinical services and education. Members are able to connect both professionally and personally with current and past faculty, staff, volunteers, current training program members, and our many training program alumni. BIP members include people from beyond the clinical and healthcare arena such as current and past board members, businesspeople, artists, students, and many other individuals who seek connections to the Institute's various programs, and wish to support BIP's progress as an Institute.

Becoming a Member of BIP offers these practical benefits:

• Access to our online discussion rooms to make personal and professional connections and referrals; to share and gather information. In addition to our first on-line discussion room for BIP Members, as membership grows the aim is to launch new on-line forums for theoretical discussions and the sharing of clinical writing.
  
  
• Special advance notices and Membership rates for our clinical events and our arts and public education events.
  
  
• Special educational and social events for Members only, some of these will offer Continuing Education credits to participants.
  
  
• Opportunities to pursue Continuing Education, and share interests, through the new Members' Education Center to open in 2010.
  
  
• The ability to locate and communicate with BIP members around the world.
